Spider or Wasp?

I am not interested in studying neither a spider or a wasp. They're both gross. Both of these bugs cause pain. Why would I want to study such creepy beings? Wasps and spiders are both really ugly too. And scary! Everytime I see a spider or a bee I freak out.

Erik Weihenmayer

I think Erik Weihenmayer is a very inspiring person. For those of you who don't know, he was a blind man who climbed all the way up to the top of Mt. Everest. I think he's inspiring because he shows that no matter what condition you're in you can do anything you put your mind to. If you really want something and you give it your all you can do it. Erik proves that. For a blind man to lead his team to the top of Mount Everest is incredible. People even put him down for it and said mean things about it. Give the guy some credit!

digital footprints.

It's important to have a positive digital footprint because everyone in the world has access to anything you put on the internet. You should only use your actual name and stuff on websites that aren't going to show that to other people. It's dangerous for people to see that kind of stuff. There are a lot of creepy people in this world and you never know what they're capable of doing. Adults or older brothers and sisters or basically anyone with more experience and knowledge are responsible of showing kids how to be internet savvy because they've dealt with internet and stuff like that for longer than we have. On profiles you should only include your first name and never your address or anything that shows where you live. I think my digital footprint is positive. I never write about anything too personal. On the internet I can be found on Myspace, Facebook, and obviously blogger. I also have an AIM thing. So I hope you learned something from this post. Be careful what you put on the web.

Favorite Holiday.

My family never goes anywhere for holidays. My favorite holiday in general is Halloween though. My favorite holiday to spend with family is either Thanksgiving or Christmas. Thanksgiving would be because every year my whole mom's side of the family all goes to the movie theaters after we eat and see a movie. It's always so much fun. Christmas I love obviously because of all the presents. I love the food at Thanksgiving too! My mom makes the best Snicker Salad ever!!!

Fantasy Holiday

My fantasy holiday would be to spend like Christmas in Hawaii. I want to go there so bad! My parents went there on their honeymoon and I've seen pictures. It looks so beautiful. I want to use a palm tree as a christmas tree. I just think it would be so fun to be in Hawaii for Christmas. It would be so relaxing, and I could get a nice tan too. Anyone want to take me there?

Climate Change

Today I'm going to write about Climate Change, guys. Climate change is becoming a BIG issue. I live in Wisconsin and living here makes me wonder how it's effecting WI. It's not that big of a state and there's not really much here except for like the Green Bay Packers. So how is global warming effecting WI? I'll tell you. The winters here are much wetter and the summers are much drier. The summers are also longer hotter and there are more frequent heat waves. Although this summer seemed to be colder than all the other ones. Farmers in WI are being forced to grow different crops because of the climate change. There is bad air quality. All the water is becoming warmer and the rivers are becoming shallower. The lakes have low water levels and have more algae in them. There have been more floods, droughts, forest fires, and storms than ever before. And one last thing, there are more disease carrying insects. All that information came from here. So how can we prevent all of this from happening? Or at least slow down the process if anything. I'll give you some ideas. We can not use so much heat or air conditioning. If it's in the summer, open your windows instead of turning on the A/C right away. If it's winter, switch to a pellet stove or a wood stove to heat your house instead of a furnice. Try biking or walking places instead of driving. Or use public transportation so there's not as many vehicles on the road. Unplug things when you're done using things because even if you just turn it off, if you leave it plugged in you're still using electricity. Don't have all the lights on in your house constantly. Turn the light and t.v.'s off when you leave the room. Use your water wisely. Don't keep the water on while you brush your teeth. Shorten your showers. Most of all, make sure you RECYCLE! That information came from here. That's all for now. =D Make a difference people. As a part of the student blogging challenge, I wrote a post for BAD 2009 on the topic of climate change. BAD Website, check it.

picture time.

Here's my picture. I chose this picture because, for one I really like roses. Rose happens to be my middle name. =] I also really like music. I don't know how to read music anymore but I used to. So I chose this picture to kind of tell you about myself a little bit. So there you are. =D
p.s. i got this picture from Morguefiles.

Interests. =]

oh man, where do I even start? I love to sleep. That's my biggest interest. Haha. Sleeping and eating are pretty much what I like to do. I have horses. That's an interest I guess. Listening to music and going to concerts. =] That's all I can really think of right now.

Music As A Weapon

Disturbed

inspiring song.

I was tagged to talk about an inspiring song. My ipod has like so many songs on it so this might be a little bit difficult. I think I got one song though that really gets to me. It's called Silhouettes by Smile Empty Soul. It's about not wanting to live like your parents and not letting fear rule your life. It says that in the end all the sinners have to pay. So anyone who hasn't heard that song should check it out.

I am now going to tag five other students. You have to write a post about an inspiring song and then tag five other students to do the same. Write on their blogs to make sure they know they've been tagged. Try to choose students from different schools and not just your friends. You need to copy what I've written here at the bottom of your post so they also know what to do.

5 people from 5 different countries.

So the other day I visited five different peoples blogs and they were all from five different countries. I've learned that they are all a lot like us. A lot of them even listen to the same kind of music as my friends or I do, which I found very interesting. However there are differences too. Some of the blogs I visited were in different languages. That's all for now folks. =]

English and Blogging.

This year English is really different because it's all online. Everything is virtual and it's really different from all the other English classes I've had. This whole blogging thing is really weird. I was never the blogging type. It just seems so like preppy. IDK! lol. But yeah. that's what i think.
